The best way I know how to develop good habits is to blog about them.
Hey! I'm Nicole St. Germain, Mastermind Evangelist, Chief Butter Officer of homemadebutter.co, productivity enthusiast and ultimate potty mouth. By day, I'm helping creators earn a living at ConvertKit, and by night, I'm cooking homemade and convincing everyone I know to start a blog.
I think we find what we're good at by accident. That means, we have to try a lot of things we think we might be good at, and find a lot of things we're really, really bad at before we know what's right. I'm still trying--I consider every creative project I tackle an experiment. Like, how can I create a food blog I actually want to subscribe to? How can I be "multipassionate" in a world of ultra-focusing and niching down? How can I grow a career and a side business at the same time?
I'm not a productivity guru, or a personal development junkie. I like to learn about these things and try to apply them to my life as experiments, and then document that experience here, in the hopes that it's helpful to others.
I make butter
I started making my own butter because I a) love the stuff and b) love to challenge myself when I cook. People always asked me how they could make their own butter too, so I set up a site to teach them how. Check out homemadebutter.co if you want to learn more!
I started writing about masterminds for online business when I realized the transformative power it was having on my own personal development. Masterminds are your business's trusted advisors, they can help you make major decisions, lend valuable perspective to help you see opportunities you might have missed. Most importantly, your mastermind is comprised of other business owners in the same boat. They know exactly what you are going through because they are going through it themselves. Not only do you get advisors for your business, you are the advisor for 5 other businesses--that's an education in itself.

I have a lot of ideas
My Creator Roadmap was started to add some structure to what often feels like chaos. I think of a lot of projects I want to start and things I want to create. In the creator community, it can be hard to want to try a lot of things, to not double down on a specific topic or area of creation. So I created a roadmap, like a SaaS company might for new features. This allows me to jot down all my ideas, and work through them methodically, track my process, and work in public.
